The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and the Environment has issued the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) for the Stubbo Solar Farm.

The SEARs sets out issues that must be addressed in an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the project including potential impacts on biodiversity, land-use and heritage as well as noise and visual amenity.

The requirements also set expectations for how we engage with the local community and project stakeholders in the development of the EIS.

Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment

We will also be assessing the Aboriginal cultural or archaeological heritage across the 1,750 hectare solar farm site. This will help us understand the cultural value of the site and how to avoid or protect any important Aboriginal items on site.

We are interested in hearing from any Aboriginal groups or individuals who may hold any valuable cultural knowledge regarding Aboriginal objects or places on the site. Their knowledge and our investigations will help form an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment Report that will enable the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment to carefully consider the project application.

if you are a member of an Aboriginal group or an individual or you hold any valuable aboriginal knowledge about the site, please contact  OzArk Environment and Heritage at rebecca@ozarkehm.com.au or call 02 6882 0118.

Information line and Facebook Project Page

A new project information telephone line has been established to make it easier for members of the local community to ask us questions and provide feedback on the project. You can leave a message on the number by calling 1800 434 062.

We’ve also set up a project Facebook Page to provide information and answer questions in an open and engaging way. You can also provide feedback via the contact form on our website.
