Local community members are being invited to take part in a short survey to help map any potential social impacts from the Valley of the Winds project.

The Social Impact Survey will contribute to a Social Impact Statement for the project, under recently updated guidelines from the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.

It will help us identify and evaluate the potential impacts and guide how we can respond and manage those impacts.

The survey will also build awareness and understanding of the wind farm project and help us better consider and reflect community views in the Environmental Impact Statement.

Development of Community Program

Members of the local community are also being invited to provide feedback and their views on potential community programs that could be funded by the Valley of the Winds project.

This includes a Voluntary Planning Agreement with Warrumbungle Shire Council which will contribute over half a million dollars a year to a local community benefit sharing program. In addition to this a Neighbouring Property Benefits Scheme and other community initiatives are being pursued.
