Members of the local community are being invited to review the Valley of the Winds Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), after it met adequacy for public exhibition by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPE).
DPE have announced that the EIS for the project would be placed on public exhibition from today, Monday May 23 for a period of 28 days.
This follows more than two years of public consultation on the proposed wind farm, involving face to face and virtual information sessions and one on one meetings with the local community.
We understand the EIS is a large technical document. To assist readers to navigate the key project information and findings of technical assessments of the EIS, the Valley of the Winds project team has developed an EIS Storyboard that we encourage you to scroll through.
The Valley of the Winds project is being assessed as a State Significant Development under Part 4 of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
The NSW Department of Planning and Environment is the responsible state planning authority for the project. Anyone interested in reading the full EIS report, including individual technical assessments, or making a submission can do via the NSW Planning Portal.
