To connect North East Wind to the shared electricity network, it is necessary to develop a transmission line route that minimises the overall impact on landholders, communities and the environment.
A study corridor as part of the route selection process was announced publicly ahead of the community drop-in sessions in October. Defining this study corridor allows us to consult and engage with potentially involved landholders, communities, and other stakeholders.
ACEN Australia met with potentially involved landholders ahead of the transmission line being publicly announced to introduce the project and seek to understand individual landholders and their properties. This consultation process will assist in further refining the alignment and minimising overall impacts.
