Rural Women’s Day Ltd. and the International Day of Rural Women share the same goal of empowering rural women, but they differ in scope and approach. The International Day of Rural Women is an annual United Nations observance on October 15, recognising the crucial role of rural women in agriculture, food security, and poverty reduction worldwide. In contrast, Rural Women’s Day Ltd. is a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on connecting, collaborating and celebrating rural and regional women across Australia and New Zealand
