The wide diversity of employment available in the renewables industry and the pathways to secure those jobs were in the spotlight at this week’s New England Renewable Energy Careers Expo in Armidale.
The event, organised by the Community Power Agency and New England Skills + Workforce Working Group, was a great opportunity for the New England Solar team to speak to local students, industry members, First Nations businesses and other interested people about our work in the region and the skills we need to plan, construct and operate renewable projects.
Students from several high schools attended the expo and asked many insightful questions about how they can get started towards finding meaningful careers in the renewables sector.
