David Pollington has been the Managing Director of ACEN Australia since July 2023 having been the Chief Operating Officer (formerly UPC\AC Renewables Australia) since its establishment in 2016. He has been involved in the renewable energy sector for more than 30 years leading projects from inception through to operations. David has held key roles in the industry, most notably, the Technical Director of Renewables at SKM/Jacobs, and General Manager of Construction for Roaring 40s, a joint development and asset management company between Hydro Tasmania and China Light and Power based out of Hong Kong, where he was responsible for construction activities in China, India, and Australia. David holds a Bachelor of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Tasmania and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers. He is based in Hobart.
Michael Connarty

Dr. Michael Connarty is the Head of Operations and Trading for ACEN Australia. He has extensive experience in the energy sector, in both operations and consulting, for over 25 years. This includes 16 years with Hydro Tasmania in the development of hydro projects, as well as daily and strategic system operations. After leaving Hydro Tasmania, he worked as a consultant in TasNetworks and SKM/Jacobs, among others, developing price and REC forecasting, energy policy development and strategic input into private companies’ renewable energy developments. Prior to joining ACEN Australia, Michael was the Senior Adviser to the Tasmanian Minister for Energy. Michael holds a PhD in Engineering Science (Civil) and a Bachelor of Engineering, Civil (Honours) from the University of Adelaide.

Edwin Foong

Head of Partnerships and P2X
Edwin Foong is the Head of Partnerships and P2X for ACEN Australia. He has over 30 years experience in renewable energy development, infrastructure development, as well as technology commercialisation and capital raising at start-up companies. Prior to joining ACEN Australia, Edwin served as the head of growth strategy and business development at Enwave Australia where he developed innovative private utility networks and infrastructure projects. He has also held senior executive positions at EIR and Roaring 40s where he originated, developed and financed utility-scale wind and solar projects. Edwin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering from Monash University.
He is based in Sydney.

Tim Greenaway is Head of Construction and Engineering for ACEN Australia bringing more than 25 years experience in delivery of major energy, infrastructure, commercial and residential development projects. Tim holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Civil (Hons1), Bachelor of Laws from UNSW and a Master of Business Administration (Renewable Energy) from Berliner Hochschule für Technik, Germany. Tim has responsibility for the construction and engineering of ACEN Australia’s portfolio of projects.
He is based in Brisbane.
Phillip Mak

Phillip Mak is the Chief Financial and Investment Officer of ACEN Australia. Phillip has over 25 years experience in corporate finance, having held various senior banking positions including leading specialised and acquisition finance teams in renewables, power, resources and infrastructure projects. Prior to joining ACEN Australia, Phillip was the Global Head of Infrastructure for National Australia Bank where he was responsible for the origination and execution of specialised and acquisition financings for infrastructure projects globally. Before this Phillip was the Head of Energy & Resources for National Australia Bank, responsible for origination and execution of specialised and acquisition financing for renewables, power and resources projects in Australia. Phillip holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance – Honours from the University of Western Australia.

Claudia Parsons

Claudia Parsons is the Head of Corporate Services for ACEN Australia. She has more than 25 years of leadership experience in human resources, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, compliance and improving business outcomes. Claudia is passionate about creating work environments where teams thrive and people learn, grow and contribute. As Head of Corporate Services, Claudia is responsible for leading human resources, ensuring teams are engaged and remain motivated while also leading a high quality hiring process. Claudia also leads IT, ensuring the company meets cyber safety requirements and operates within a robust and cyber secure framework. Also in her role at ACEN Australia, Claudia is responsible for leading communications and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the company communicates and engages effectively and collaboratively with communities and industry stakeholders. Claudia holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Master of Professional Accounting, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment and a Diploma of Financial Planning. She is also currently halfway through her studies to become a Certified Human Resources Practitioner.
She is based in Hobart.
Killian Wentrup

Head of Development
Killian Wentrup is the Head of Development for ACEN Australia. He has been in the energy sector and carbon markets for over 20 years working in project development, business development, consulting, M&A and policy and regulation. Prior to joining ACEN Australia, Killian was the head of development at Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) for Australia. He also spent several years working in the wholesale energy markets and corporate strategy divisions of Origin Energy. Killian holds a Bachelor of International Business and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland.
He is based in Sydney and Melbourne.
