ACEN Australia is in the early stages of investigating a large-scale wind project in Buloke Shire in Western Victoria, called Corack East Wind. The development is proposed to be located on privately owned land between Donald, Birchip and Wycheproof.
ACEN Australia is investigating opportunities to connect Corack East Wind to the proposed VNI-West interconnector, being developed by Transmission Company Victoria.
Commencing from 19 March 2025, a drop-in information hub will be available every Wednesday from 1.00pm to 6.00pm at Charlton Park Community Bank Complex.
Come along to meet the project team, find out more and provide feedback.
When: Every Wednesday from 1.00pm to 6.00pm
Where: Boardroom, Charlton Park Community Bank Complex, Calder Highway, Charlton
ACEN Australia believes it is important to engage early and provide the community with an opportunity to learn about the project, share feedback and information and meet the ACEN team. To achieve this, we will collaborate with host landowners, neighbours, First Nations groups, and the wider community, sharing information about proposed changes and exploring how the project can bring meaningful benefits.
Our goal is to be a valued, long-term contributor to the community.
As a company seeking to harness wind, solar and water resources for energy today, we reflect on the contributions made by First Nations over thousands of years. We recognise the value of a better understanding of Aboriginal history and culture, and commit to meaningful participation with First Nations groups to support the protection of country, culture and the development of their aspirations.
ACEN Australia’s Social Investment Program (SIP) provides grants and sponsorships for eligible individuals and organisations that are contributing to building thriving and resilient communities. This is ACEN Australia’s voluntary contribution throughout the more than 30 year lifecycle of a project.
We know the importance of early engagement with communities and stakeholders and are guided by industry and global standards.
