The New England Solar Farm is a proposed 720 megawatt solar farm across two separate solar fields near Uralla in the New England region of NSW. Rows of solar panels will be installed on specialised infrastructure that follows the sun, while also allowing adequate space for sheep to continue grazing on the land between and underneath the panels.
Uralla, New South Wales
- Depending on the final installed capacity, the solar farm will produce around 1,800,000 megawatt hours of electricity a year
- Help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 1.5 million tonnes every year - equivalent to taking 330,000 cars off the road
- Power more than 250,000 typical New South Wales homes
